Founded in 1906 as a "cooperative community", Ruskin is situated on the southeastern shore of Tampa Bay, a protected harbor which serves as a port for commercial and cruise ships. Once considered "off the beaten track", this delightful town is now within easy commuting distance of several urban centers via Interstate 75, Interstate 4 and Tampa's Selmon Expressway.
